The Ultimate Travel Gift Guide for the Jetsetter in Your Life
Whether your loved one is the type of traveller that takes quick long weekend trips or month-long workations, I’ve got you covered with this extensive list of my travel staples. I’ve been to over 25 countries, and the products that made this list are tried and true #LibertyLegends.
🔐 To Stay Safe
Door stop alarm
This battery-operated door stop alarm wedges underneath your door and rings very loudly when a door opens and causes it to go off. I use one at the main door, and another if there’s an adjoining hotel room door or a balcony door in my hotel room or AirBnb. A must have for everyone, but especially women travelling solo!
Battery-operated Fire Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Detector
For some strange reason, many accommodations located outside of North America do not come with fire alarms or carbon monoxide detectors (and many countries don’t require them, either!). Many lives could have been saved if they had this detector in their accommodations while on vacation.
Personal Alarm Keychain
I keep this on my keys while at home, but also easily accessible in my pocket or purse just in case someone attempts to attack me and I need attention/help.
📱 To Stay Connected
Portable Battery Charger
I’ve had this for 5+ years now and it’s still going strong. It can fully charge my phone at least 2 times, and comes in handy when there aren’t any working outlets on the plane or in the airport, or when I’m out too long and my phone is dying but I need to call an Uber.
Foldable Laptop Stand
When working remotely, this laptop stand comes in handy when you need to prop on your laptop to work better. It pairs great with a wireless keyboard and mouse to have a full “at home-like” setup.
Wireless Sony Headphones (WH-1000XM5)
I’ve done all the research and these are arguably the best headphones on the market right now. The battery lasts long, the sound is great, and most importantly: they are big head and big hair friendly!
📸 To Capture The Moment
The BEST Phone Tripod
This sturdy tripod stands up high, folds up small, and has a remote for you to take your selfies from a distance. It’s perfect for getting the perfect shot on your solo trips, or bringing it to family gatherings so everyone can be in the photo.
Rechargeable Portable Light
Low light conditions? No problem. This portable light will illuminate your photos and have them looking high quality. It can clip on your phone or laptop, too!
Octobuddy (Suction Cup Phone Holder)
If you’re like me and think the best photos and videos are taken with natural sunlight, this is your best friend. Stick it on a window and get your best content ever!
🎒 To Pack Well and Stay Organized
Compression Packing Cubes
For my fellow over-packers who like to stay organized, these packing cubes will help you fit everything in your suitcase without it exploding (...hopefully).
Travel Hangers
These travel hangers come SO clutch because they fold up really small, but can open up into full-size hangers that give you the ability to hang up your clothes so they’re still wrinkle-free.
The ULTIMATE Travel Backpack (Personal Item)
I spent one month in Europe using this backpack as a personal item, and was never charged extra baggage fees. I can fit 4-5 full outfits in it, plus my laptop and chargers. I love her.
